Roxy Harte's Chronicles of Surrender Series: Feature and International Giveaway
Welcome to Day One of our Get Tied Up event! Today we are featuring Roxy Harte's Chronicles of Surrender series. Roxy Harte explores "the emotional and psychological elements of relationships involving BDSM, bondage, sadist, masochist, dominance, and submission." (From Roxy's Flog Blog.) Here is a look at the series:
Sacred Secrets
Chronicles of Surrender
Book One
Celia sold herself in a bargain for rough play and a great story--not murder! Celia Brentwood, fetish reporter for San Francisco's Inappropriate Voices, agrees to auction herself off as a BDSM slave for thirty days. She plans to write a first-person exposé, but after she's purchased by Garrett Lawrence, the most eligible gay bachelor in town, her story becomes an insider peek at the man once accused of killing his lover. Garrett still mourns the loss of his beloved, but the past is hard to forget when it's stalking him. The real killer is obsessed with Garrett...until Celia's deception is discovered and the killer decides she's the perfect route to his prey.
Sacred Revelations
Chronicles of Surrender
Book Two
Can one woman serve two masters?
Celia Brentwood meets Garrett Lawrence at a time of change. Not knowing what to expect from this man who has suddenly become her master, she submits to him and discovers how pleasure and pain combine to create euphoria. Garrett then introduces her to the care of Lord Fyre, a man who sees into her heart and understands her darkness.
Leaving her master to be under the three month tutelage of Lord Fyre proves to be harder than she imagined, but the greater difficulty is returning to Garrett. She's a different woman than the one who left him. Celia struggles with powerful emotions for each.
Both men have dominated her body. Which man will claim her heart?
Unholy Promises
Chronicles of Surrender
Book Three
Lord Fyre's life is so secretive even his lovers know him only by an alias. An international agent, he's wanted in many countries - dead or alive. When his past catches up with him, Lewd Larry's BDSM Fetish Fantasy Night Club may no longer keep him safe.
With his twin brother is in danger, Lord Fyre must return to Paris to save him. But the cat and mouse intrigue he left behind isn't his only challenge. An past flame may be the greatest danger he's ever faced.

If this was a story that I wanted to write, I would do it. The series sounds really good and I would like to read it.
manning_j2004 [at] yahoo [dot] com
This sounds like a great story. Would I do it? Nope, no way. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to read someone else's adventures.
terrid76@verizon.net
Yep, I would if I was a reporter and wanted that story. In some of the books I've read they have you fill out papers showing what you'll allow or not and if they knew you were a beginer I think it wouldn't be dangerous. I don't know if the paper wpould run the story though.

It could be interesting, but I'm not that brave.

Um, is it bad that I would say yes, even if I wasn't a reporter? I haven't read the story or this author, but now after reading the blurb, I'm very intrigued and will add it to my bookshelf of "must read".
lacrimsonfemme at gmail.com
*grins* I love these books. The answer to your question is- Yes. I'd auction myself off. In fact, I have done so for charity at a BDSM auction. It was fun and honestly, I had a blast and became good friends with the person who "bought" me for the night.
cynnara @ gmail.com
I think a good reporter would want to write an accurate story. She would want to live the part so to speak. If I was the reporter I'm not sure I could do that. 30 days is a LONG time. LOL
user1123 AT comcast DOT net
Hmmm, I'd probably do it, but probably not for 30 whole days. A week maybe, to get a good enough idea, then I'd supplement the information with interviews and surveys. Yes, I have a bit of a research bent. :) I'd want my story to be accurate, but at the same time, I don't think I'd be able to commit to a whole month - mostly because I'd be worried it would be unfair to whoever purchased me. He/she would have made a purchase under false pretenses, which seems cruel to me.
dr_mcsully[at]yahoo.com
This series sounds like something I'd really like.Putting it on the TBR list.
I don't think I'd auction myself off just for a story.
elaing8(at)netscape(dot)net
I am so not brave enough to put myself out there like that.
This series looks really good. Definitely going to have to put on my TBR pile.
iqb99@yahoo.com
I think I would. It is something I have wanted to explore - what a great opportunity, without committing to it totally.
Sounds exciting to read but to do it... Those relationships take a lot of trust and the trust just wouldn't be there on first meeting someone. And a month is a long time.
a.charol at yahoo dot ca
okay I want to say hell yeah I would do it, but I would probably chicken out! Bums me out... ha ha ha!!!
tenasocal(at)aol(dot)com
Sounds like fun but I'm too chicken.

tcty123@yahoo.com
Yes, I would do just about anything to get a good story. Also, the fact with reading some of these stories can get any person a little excited. Just think what it would be like to be envolved in the act. For a great story yes I would.
midnight22165@yahoo.com
No, I don't think I'm that ambitious.
lenikaye@yahoo.com
Truly, I'm not brave enough to do that! But I love the idea of reading about it because then I can experience it in my head, if not in real life :-)
smaccall @ comcast.net
I'm not sure I'd be brave enough! I think I would be scared stupid. Though if you want to write a good story, then, maybe but I would definitely have to psyche myself up for it! After all, it could be fun.

blacklagoon.wenj(at)gmail.com
This series sounds amazing...but I have to say that even though I'm committed to my passions I don't think I would be able to take it that far...but that's why books this is are so great!
booklover1335 at gmail (dot) com
Oh hell yeah I would do it. You only live once right?!?!
What a great question to pose....!
Please include me in!
alliwantandmorebooks@ gmail.com
I wouldn't be able to do it. It's something I would rather experience through books.
tiredwkids at live dot com
If I was a reporter and not married, I would jump at the chance to go over undercover and be auctioned off to experience the BDSM world for a story.
sharilynn06@yahoo.com
I just love her books. I have gotten hooked and reread a couple of Roxies books already...Awesome author!I have several on my wishlist...*S*
pommawolf@hotmail.com
Do it? No. Read it? Yep!
These books have me very intrigued. I'd definitely like to read more about Lord Fyre. :)
But I'm not brave enough to auction myself off for 30 days. Trust is the main issue and I couldn't see trusting someone I'd never met before and for 30 days.
Carol L
Lucky4750@aol.com
These sound very intriguing. I like that they are all connected so one can revisit the characters.
The story theme sound very interesting, and the alpha woman character, but no I would not be willing to go that route to get a story.
readlmw@yahoo.com
No, because I'm pretty sure I'd make a terrible slave.
If I wanted the story bad enough, I'd do whatever I had to to get it even if it meant auctioning myself off as a slave in a BDSM club. I suspect I'd find out more about myself during those 30 days than the story.
You bet I would but only if I looked like Celia. I have read all but the last of this series so would love to get that one.Very erotic, interesting, premise behind these stories
I would do it.
No, I know I wouldn't be able to do that. I have a hard time standing in front of a room full of people for benign reasons.
cwilliams127 at gmail dot com
I wouldn't!
l think there would always be another story out there!
booksforcomany @ gmail.com
Be auctioned off at a BDSM event...My alter ego would say yes with a capital Y!! Unfortunately, my real self wouldn't have the courage to do it, but I can live vicariously by reading those wonderful books:-)
sujobookfan@gmail.com
If I were a reporter, yes, I would auction myself to get the big story. I think reporters are nosy by nature and in order to get the recognition and possibly a Pulitzer prize, they would do ANYTHING!
Thanks,
Tracey D
booklover0226 at gmail dot com
As a reporter absolutely. You do what you have to do to get your story. I just wish I had the courage for something like that in real life.
beckerjo(at)verizon(dot)net
I'd have to read the fine print on that one! Especially since you would have no idea which Dom would win you. Too scary. *shudder*
Thanks for the chance to win - Miranda
mdwartistry at yahoo dot com
o_0 I don't think I would want to do that even for a big story... I might therefore make a rater bad reporter >.>
snifflykitty@gmail.com
I wouldn't be able to do this but highly admire and respect those who can. Ah, if only I was a wee bit younger...*S*
I love reading all the comments.
pommawolf@hotmail.com
If I were a reporter I would auction myself off for the story.
asiancocoa94(at)aol(dot)com
Sure I would. It would be a great opporunity to explore my sexuality.
I love reading about those kind of things but i think i would be too much of a whimp to try it out!
elizabeth_14@hotmail.co.uk
Ummm...No...I don't think I would have the guts to go that far just to get a story. I applaud anyone who does and these stories are extremely fun to read about but I just couldn't do it.
forgot my email...
leaghchristensen@yahoo.com
Not sure I could...ambition is one thing but loss of control over my life for a whole month? Us control freaks really got issues...LOL! :0) Glad I stumbled in here...found a new author! This series looks amazing and I'm adding it to my TB list!!! Love to find authors that are new to me! :0)
Oh no! I would not be auctioned off to write a story. I think that would be wrong for the master that purchases the sub. I thought BSDM relationships required trust and communication. You can't start out with a lie!
jepeb@verizon.net
no way would i be brave enough but it seems to make for a intersting story. lol Awesome cover. A good cover always draws me in.
Lisa b
Modokker at yahoo dot com
No way, I would auction myself as a slave. Too many very bad things could happen.
marlenebreakfield(at)yahoo(dot)com
I don't think this would be a line of work I would put myself in! But if for some reason I felt it was really neccessary that this particular story be told and I was the only one who could do it (and I wasn't married) I guess I would.
This story sounds great! Thanks for the great giveaway! mmafsmith@gmail.com
I'd like to think that in my younger days I wouldn't hesitate to be auctioned off to get a good story. Now, not so much.
Oh god, in real life probably not but it makes for a great story/fanstasy.
jessicamariesutton@msn.com
Thank you all for the lovely comments! Just to keep the excitement rolling, I am hosting a giveaway as well on Roxy's Flog Blog.
roxyharte dot blogspot dot com
So, if you've entered the giveaway here and would also like to be entered for a chance to win my coming soon Chronicle of Surrender: Vow of Silence: George's Story ... please, stop by and say hello!
Hugs,
Roxy Harte
oooh hard question. I'm not a writer so I would probably say no. But if I was and needed to get the story, I might do it.
mhay@panhandle.rr.com
forgot to leave e-mail
waverlyn at hotmail dot com
If i was an reporter and to get the story i probably would....but being a reporter or writer would put me in creative which is a step below adventurous....i guess that is why i stick to reading rather than writing
seachele71@hotmail.com
Yes I would
lzz25 at yahoo dot com
To be honest I might. In the beginning apprehension and fear will run through my veins but I would most likely consider it if the said club was as reputable and safe as Lewd Larrys.
Forgot to include my email: Joline.Valles@gmail.com
That sounds like a super outrageous and huge story that could make me to stardom. But I wouldn't do it...
angeldream3[at]gmail[dot]com
Roxy,
I read all of the previous Chronicles of Surrender books while recovering from a knee replacement surgery. My God- they were fabulous! They touched me in a way I could never imagine! I loved the kitten play! Celia's transformation through the series of books was amazing and oh, the tears I shed! Please add me to the drawing!
beth
wharton{at}cpind{dot}com
No, I wish I could say that I would be brave enough, but I have too many fears lurking!
kw[dot]morgan [at] yahoo[dot]com
I definitely would not be able to do it, not even for the story. Too many unknowns! Although, I'd wish I could do it for the story.
lilbrdy@hotmail.com
I think that I would be able to do it. I think that big story would be the push I've always needed to make that jump. When I read Sacred Secrets I was a bit jealous of the way Kitten just jumped right in there!
rhob3123@gmail.com
Hmm not sure if I could do it or not. The series sounds great though :).
pams00 @ aol.com
Sorry but I could only do it with someone I know. I think BDSM requires trust and I just couldn't trust someone I have never met before.
The series sounds exciting :-D
stella.exlibris (at) gmail (dot) com
I would have to say no on that one sorry! I would like to read this book sounds so good!
Great giveaway thank you.
tishajean@ charter.net
To get the "big" story, yes I would probably do it. The series sounds awesome! Thanks for the giveaway.
bimmergrlmd at gmail dot com
That is something I have always thought of trying so my answer would be yes. what a way to get a story and try something new at teh same time.
meingee@yahoo.com
I'm not sure if I'd be brave enough, but it might also depend on who the potential buyers would be, too... It could represent the chance of a lifetime (or the total opposite!) These stories sound good--adding to my TBB!
Thank you!

Too bad the site these books don't have you listed any more. Are you books any where else?
