Roxy Harte's Chronicles of Surrender Series: Feature and International Giveaway

Welcome to Day One of our Get Tied Up event!  Today we are featuring Roxy Harte's Chronicles of Surrender series.  Roxy Harte explores "the emotional and psychological elements of relationships involving BDSM, bondage, sadist, masochist, dominance, and submission." (From Roxy's Flog Blog.)  Here is a look at the series:

Sacred Secrets
Chronicles of Surrender
Book One

Celia sold herself in a bargain for rough play and a great story--not murder! Celia Brentwood, fetish reporter for San Francisco's Inappropriate Voices, agrees to auction herself off as a BDSM slave for thirty days. She plans to write a first-person exposé, but after she's purchased by Garrett Lawrence, the most eligible gay bachelor in town, her story becomes an insider peek at the man once accused of killing his lover. Garrett still mourns the loss of his beloved, but the past is hard to forget when it's stalking him. The real killer is obsessed with Garrett...until Celia's deception is discovered and the killer decides she's the perfect route to his prey.

Sacred Revelations
Chronicles of Surrender
Book Two

Can one woman serve two masters?

Celia Brentwood meets Garrett Lawrence at a time of change. Not knowing what to expect from this man who has suddenly become her master, she submits to him and discovers how pleasure and pain combine to create euphoria. Garrett then introduces her to the care of Lord Fyre, a man who sees into her heart and understands her darkness.

Leaving her master to be under the three month tutelage of Lord Fyre proves to be harder than she imagined, but the greater difficulty is returning to Garrett. She's a different woman than the one who left him. Celia struggles with powerful emotions for each.

Both men have dominated her body. Which man will claim her heart?

Unholy Promises
Chronicles of Surrender
Book Three

Lord Fyre's life is so secretive even his lovers know him only by an alias. An international agent, he's wanted in many countries - dead or alive. When his past catches up with him, Lewd Larry's BDSM Fetish Fantasy Night Club may no longer keep him safe.

With his twin brother is in danger, Lord Fyre must return to Paris to save him. But the cat and mouse intrigue he left behind isn't his only challenge. An past flame may be the greatest danger he's ever faced.

If this was a story that I wanted to write, I would do it. The series sounds really good and I would like to read it.

This sounds like a great story. Would I do it? Nope, no way. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to read someone else's adventures.

Yep, I would if I was a reporter and wanted that story. In some of the books I've read they have you fill out papers showing what you'll allow or not and if they knew you were a beginer I think it wouldn't be dangerous. I don't know if the paper wpould run the story though.

Um, is it bad that I would say yes, even if I wasn't a reporter? I haven't read the story or this author, but now after reading the blurb, I'm very intrigued and will add it to my bookshelf of "must read".

*grins* I love these books. The answer to your question is- Yes. I'd auction myself off. In fact, I have done so for charity at a BDSM auction. It was fun and honestly, I had a blast and became good friends with the person who "bought" me for the night.

I think a good reporter would want to write an accurate story. She would want to live the part so to speak. If I was the reporter I'm not sure I could do that. 30 days is a LONG time. LOL

Hmmm, I'd probably do it, but probably not for 30 whole days. A week maybe, to get a good enough idea, then I'd supplement the information with interviews and surveys. Yes, I have a bit of a research bent. :) I'd want my story to be accurate, but at the same time, I don't think I'd be able to commit to a whole month - mostly because I'd be worried it would be unfair to whoever purchased me. He/she would have made a purchase under false pretenses, which seems cruel to me.

This series sounds like something I'd really like.Putting it on the TBR list.
I don't think I'd auction myself off just for a story.

I am so not brave enough to put myself out there like that.

This series looks really good. Definitely going to have to put on my TBR pile.

I think I would. It is something I have wanted to explore - what a great opportunity, without committing to it totally.

Carol said...

Sounds exciting to read but to do it... Those relationships take a lot of trust and the trust just wouldn't be there on first meeting someone. And a month is a long time.

Yes, I would do just about anything to get a good story. Also, the fact with reading some of these stories can get any person a little excited. Just think what it would be like to be envolved in the act. For a great story yes I would.

I'm not sure I'd be brave enough! I think I would be scared stupid. Though if you want to write a good story, then, maybe but I would definitely have to psyche myself up for it! After all, it could be fun.

These books have me very intrigued. I'd definitely like to read more about Lord Fyre. :)
But I'm not brave enough to auction myself off for 30 days. Trust is the main issue and I couldn't see trusting someone I'd never met before and for 30 days.

No, because I'm pretty sure I'd make a terrible slave.

If I wanted the story bad enough, I'd do whatever I had to to get it even if it meant auctioning myself off as a slave in a BDSM club. I suspect I'd find out more about myself during those 30 days than the story.

You bet I would but only if I looked like Celia. I have read all but the last of this series so would love to get that one.Very erotic, interesting, premise behind these stories
